Had there been a category for "Tree Replacement Request" in addition to "Tree Planting Request" and "Tree Removal Request", I would have chosen that option. I do hope that "Tree Removal" implies a "Tree Planting" to follow soon afterwards.

Hear hear Robert Winters. Enough trees have been removed to raise the average summer temperature in Cambridge! It'll take 50 years to replace that one, so ASAP please. It's sad to see people post about trees that have been dead for years, or that they've asked for years to be removed and replaced. When will the canopy become a priority? When we have a drought emergency, and regularly have to breathe carcinogenic smoke from wildfires in Canada and, last year, the PNW?

A work task has been assigned for this issue.

I noticed today that the dead tree had been removed, and I'm thankful for that. I look forward to seeing a great tree planted there with whatever it might take to sustain it in good health for many years.
